Miller’s Supplies at Work is looking for an innovative, outside of the box thinker who likes to drive solutions and assist with our marketing initiatives as a Marketing Intern. This position will report to our Marketing Specialist and will work around 20 hours a week on a flexible schedule. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and exposure in different aspects of marketing that include digital and traditional marketing.
Position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week. This is a paid internship.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interns will participate in a variety of activities to enhance professional capabilities and build a professional portfolio.
•Assist with researching, writing, editing, proofreading and layout of digital marketing and corporate communications content
•Creatively manage social media postings with platforms such as: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and more
•Assist with corporate website copy updates and blogging
•Assist in creation of targeted marketing campaigns to generate leads
•Undergraduate Student (Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism Majors/Minors preferred)
•Knowledge of available tools and platforms in the social media space
•Proficient computer skills: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Proactive and creative problem-solver
•Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detailed-orientated, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
•Excellent, written and verbal communications skills
•Bring a positive can-do attitude to the office each day
•Ability to work independently and/or part of a team
•Career interest in marketing, advertising, communications, or similar industry
