Delivery Driver
Summary
This position is responsible for making daily deliveries of office supplies to multiple customer locations in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Our drivers provide customer service and develop strong relationships with Miller's customers. The position requires driving continuously and performing physical activities frequently. Miller's drivers are not responsible for selling. This is one of the few positions that has a M-F schedule during the day.
Responsibilities
Start shift reviewing manifest and verifying all packages are loaded in truck
Inspect truck before leaving and report to supervisor
Drive truck and park truck following location's parking requirements
Unload product following safety regulations
Deliver product according to customer's specifications
Take product returns from customers
Communicate with dispatch during the day and get advice on discrepancies or issues that arise during the shift
Log and store returned product according to standard operation
Inspect truck and report to supervisor before leaving for the day
Physical Demands
This position requires prolonged sitting; climbing up and down the box frequently; lifting, pushing and pulling up to 65 lbs. frequently, and walking and climbing stairs as necessary.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years old
Based on customer requirements, drivers must be born or naturalized US Citizens
Active driver's license with a driving record that meets requirements of insurance provider
Physically qualified to pass medical DOT examination paid by Miller's
Experience driving 14 ft. and 26 ft. trucks
