  1. A Coffee bean is not actually a bean - it is the seed in the coffee berry.
  2. The world’s Second most valuable traded commodity in coffee (Oil is #1).
  3. The average American adult consumes an average of 26.7 gallons of coffee per year, which amounts to about 400 cups.
  4. The Most Expensive coffee comes from berries that go through the digestive tract of the Kopi Luwak, a small cat-sized Indonesian animal. The “beans” are then harvested from the animal’s waste, cleaned, roasted and sold for $100 to $600 per pound.
